The project is housed in a purpose built media centre sited at
Castledown School near Ludgershall. The media centre generates a
bi-monthly newsletter called ‘Pulse’, which is delivered to every home
in the community area, and also produces a 24-hour Internet radio
service.
The Internet radio service has been the platform for an application to
Ofcom for a community radio licence to broadcast on FM. Ofcom
announced in March 2006 that we were successful and we are now
broadcasting on 104.7 FM
It is hoped that ‘Pulse’ will evolve into a local newspaper, which will serve the whole community area.
Baz Reilly, the Project Officer and his team attend numerous local functions, taking with them the ‘Really Red Radio Roadshow’. They also provide the PA and commentary for the annual Tidworth Area Festival (TAF), which is held on the last Sunday in July each year - commencing 2006 it is held in the grounds of Tedworth House, Tidworth. If you are interested in helping out and becoming part of the team, Baz will be out and about across the community area looking for volunteers to help with information gathering and the production and presentation of material for the news letter and Internet radio service. So, if you live in any of the following areas: Chute, Chute Forest, Collingbourne Ducis, Collinbourne Kingston, Everleigh, Ludgershall, Tidcombe and Fosbury, Tidworth, Perham Down or Shipton Bellinger look out for him. You will recognise him, as he will be wearing a large Australian hat. Why not stop him and chat to "The Man in The Hat!” or you can call him on 01264 841047 For further information on the Community Plan for the area, please contact either:
