Tidworth Employment Opportunities (TEMPO) & Information and Advice ('e-info')Housed in the site at Pennings Road, Tidworth, residents of the Tidworth Community Area are able to drop in and consult with members of staff to identify opportunities. Services include assistance with preparing to return to work, advice on training courses for acquiring skills for a return to work and access to the internet to enable job search programs. Outreach has also played a part in the success of this project. Members of staff carry out around 6 outreach visits each month at locations including Ludgershall Memorial Hall, Amesbury Library, coffee mornings with the Staffords Regiment and Rural Needs Initiative locations. In addition, occasional irregular outreach visits are carried out further afield at locations such as Market Lavington. The 'e-info' centre also has strong links with support groups for the military and promotes itself to the civilian members of the military families through these channels. From the initial contact and the subsequent needs analysis, the additional levels of TEMPO's services can be accessed
TEMPO has achieved Matrix accreditation for the quality of its information, advice and guidance provision. With this recognition, TEMPO enables funding and assures quality of provision, including training. By having this quality mark it has enabled us to develop training within projects such as the Leader+ ICT Access Points and the Integration of Communities projects. We will continue to explore the opportunities and expand the level of training provision to a wider community building on our recognised ability and quality of training delivery. One-to-One GuidanceAn additional service available to residents of the Tidworth Community Area, where appropriate, is to provide one-to-one guidance to enable a return to work. Residents are referred from the IAG drop-in centre. |
